This amount is small fry, actually. Our problem is we are sitting on a continent-sized sandbox of uranium, coal, zinc, copper, etc... It's hard to get governments interested in alternative energy when we have such immense reserves of easy, cheap, polluting energy.
BTW, the Herald Sun is usually nicknamed 'The Hun' in Melbourne.
